Who Is Eligible to Receive Services?
Our services are available to all seniors in Seminole County who meet the eligibility criteria. Our aim is to reach every senior in need of assistance.
Most of our services cater to seniors who are 60 years and older. Some of the key offerings include:

From neighborhood dining to transportation assistance, we are committed to helping our seniors stay healthy and safe. Our offerings include:

Home-Delivered Meals
Our Home-Delivered Meals service provides nutritious hot meals and snacks to qualified homebound seniors five days a week (Monday-Friday), delivered by our dedicated volunteers. This service plays a vital role in helping seniors maintain a healthy and happy lifestyle.

Neighborhood Dining
Our neighborhood dining centers offer seniors a fantastic opportunity to socialize while enjoying nutritious meals, engaging in recreational activities, and listening to informative speakers.

Transportation Services
Meals on Wheels, Etc. provides door-to-door transportation for seniors to local dining venues and shopping areas (as availability permits). Our transportation services are essential for combating isolation and supporting social engagement among our seniors. These services operate Monday through Friday from 7:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. and are offered on a first-come, first-served basis.

Home Chores
We understand that everyday tasks can become increasingly challenging for seniors in Seminole County. Our home chore services include assistance with:
- Yard Cleanup
- Pressure Washing
- Installation of Grab Bars
These services are provided by generous, community-minded volunteers, including individuals, company teams, and civic organizations dedicated to helping seniors maintain their independence.

Homemaking Services
Our homemaking services (License #233369) focus on general housekeeping and laundry needs. This service is available twice a month for two hours, specifically tailored for homebound seniors who require assistance.

Legal Aid
We collaborate closely with legal aid to assist low-income seniors, veterans, and all residents of Seminole County in resolving various civil legal matters, including:
- Family Law Issues
- Private Landlord/Tenant Disputes
- Temporary Custody Arrangements by Extended Family
- Guardian Advocacy
- Estate Planning
Emergency Home Energy Assistance Program (EHEAP)
Are you struggling to pay your energy bill? If you reside in a Central Florida household with at least one resident aged 60 or older, you may qualify for our Emergency Home Energy Assistance Program for the Elderly (EHEAP). This federally funded program provides emergency assistance for eligible seniors to help cover energy costs.
Collaborating with the Department of Elder Affairs, Senior Resource Alliance, and our partner agencies, including Meals on Wheels, we aim to support EHEAP-eligible residents as funds are available.

Weatherization Services
We offer home weatherization assistance to qualified seniors, alleviating the burden of home maintenance as they age. Our goal is to relieve seniors of stress, allowing them to enjoy their homes while ensuring safety and cleanliness.
About the Weatherization Assistance Program
The Weatherization Assistance Program is designed to lower monthly energy costs for low-income households by enhancing home energy efficiency. The proposed work must fall within specific budget guidelines. This program is open to homeowners of all ages in Seminole County who meet certain criteria and income eligibility requirements. Please contact us to determine your eligibility to apply.
This program is designed for homes that have either never been weatherized or were weatherized more than 15 years ago. Follow the steps below to learn more about the program and how to apply.

Step 1: Learn About the Program

Fill out the WAP Agreement completely, print a copy, and bring it to your appointment. Proceed to Step 7.
Complete this form with your name only, print it, and bring it to your appointment. You will sign and date it in front of a Meals on Wheels, Etc. staff member or a notary. Move on to Step 8.

Sign and date the form, print a copy, and bring it with you to your appointment. Continue to Step 12.
Complete this form entirely, print a copy, and bring it to your appointment for signature and dating. Proceed to Step 13.
Step 13: WAP Lead Mold and Moisture Form
Fill in your name on this form, print it, and bring it to your appointment for signing and dating. Go to Step 14.
Step 14: COVID Document
Fill out this form completely, print a copy, and bring it to your scheduled appointment. Proceed to Step 15.

Our Top Hat Catering Division diversifies funding for the essential services we provide to our senior community and delivers gourmet meals with a flair at our catering events.
Gourmet Meals
The Top Hat Catering Division of Meals on Wheels, Etc. provides a full range of delicious gourmet meals for private parties and special events. Top Hat Catering’s cuisine appeals to all tastes and fits all occasions, from day care to fine dining. Our menu includes everything from traditional favorites such as Chicken Alfredo and Quiches to fresh deli sandwiches and salads.
Cooking Classes
Take your cooking to the next level. The hands-on cooking classes are taught in our professionally equipped kitchen. Each class is limited to just 10 participants. All cooking classes include printed recipe handouts and a multi-course meal prepared from the recipes, served with wine/beverage. All proceeds benefit the Meals on Wheels program. It is good fun for a good cause.
Our Chef
Chef Delaño Lambertclare was born and raised in New Orleans, Louisiana, and began his chef training there. He worked in numerous French, Asian, and Italian restaurants before he came to Orlando to attend the Le Cordon Bleu Culinary Academy. While at the academy, he worked at the Swan and Dolphin at Disney, serving in upscale, high-volume restaurants, and catered many large business conventions.
